After seeing yet another fantastic blog we had to get in on the fun! For those of you worried that you might not get those 100+ picture snapfish albums (which most likely only constitutes the grandparents)... don't worry, we'll still try to send those out monthly-ish! For the rest of you, "Hooray!"... now you can just access a BRIEF but still excellent snapshot of our most current play by plays. Hopefully you're picking up on the not so subtle sport references to our Team identification.
Our whole team is on the road right now enjoying a little RnR (well, at least the little man and I are... but Daddy should have some fun in between hops). We've been on a daring safari,
had our spectacular artwork put on display at the most reputable of kids' museums,
and took in our very first theater performance... that Shrek is a hoot!
Our star player is also knocking us out with all his new moves! He started singing the ABCs this week... it's absolutely precious how fiercely he concentrates when he's singing, all the special arm movements he likes to add and the way those LMNOP letters just sort of run together! He's also decided to wow us with his swimming ability. Armed with swim assist floaties and a small flotation vest he'll kick with his legs, pull with his arms, blow air out of his nose and mouth and actually PROPEL himself around the pool without any assistance from Mom! He will flip over onto his back to rest or to try out the backstroke and then flip back over and start swimming again. He would prefer to do it all by himself... but we're very thankful for the good swim aides out there that let him ease into being a big boy and prevent Mommy from having a heart attack every time he jumps in and insists "My do it!"
And thanks to Grandpa getting a tricycle that he can actually reach the pedals on, he's zooming all over the place... forward, backward and even unsuccessfully sideways with the "boo boo" on his knee to prove it! He'd love to tell you all about it if you give him a chance. He's very good at giving all the details about the event, over and over again! He really is blossoming in his boyness, if that's even a word... needless to say, we found a helmet he could wear at Grandma and Grandpa's house too!
This has also been a great reunion with his precious cousins who he adores! They are so dear to him and he eats up the attention!
My kindermusik training is up and going and I'm getting really excited to start teaching this fall. Mini maestro has been helping me practice through many great jam sessions.
And finally, I just had to brag about the CATCH OF A LIFETIME! Get a load of this BASS Gpo pulled out of their "on Golden Pond"! We didn't even use camera tricks (sorry guys to let the cat out of the bag for those of you who do :)) Gpo's fish was really THAT BIG!
Looking forward to posting some awesome European shots from Daddy when he gets home!In the meantime we'll be thoroughly enjoying all the good spoilin' from Gmo and Gpo!
That's a wrap!
