WHAT did you just say!?!

I just wasn't expecting to hear the following :)

1."Mom, I am getting really really bigger and older so soon I will use a bow and hunt for animals."

(I know his daddy and grandpa will be excited about this but hold on cowboys :) I think he needs about another decade before he's ready!)

2."Mom, why did Miss Natalie go to the hospital?"
"To have her baby."
"Why?"
"Because the doctor helps the baby come out of Miss Natalie's tummy."
"What does he do?... How does he get the baby out?..."
"Ummmm, well, let's wait until we're out of the restaurant to talk about this... :)"
"But where does the baby come out?"
"I'll tell you later honey."
"Mom, when I am older, I will get married and I will have a baby in my tummy and the doctor will get it out of my belly button!"
"Oh, OK!" :)

(I think Ben is a great age to become a big brother... HOWEVER... I can see the benefit to him being younger would be that he wouldn't have so many questions about the process. And if he were older, maybe he'd be too occupied with other things to wonder so much!)

3. "Who do you want to pray for tonight honey?"
"Bad guys! I like bad guys!"
"Well honey, it's good to pray for bad guys too but we should pray for them to become good. You don't want to be a bad guy, they don't do nice things and they have to spend some major time in time out."
"Like jail mom?"
"Yes, like jail honey."
"And then the police will put those things on their wrists and put them in the back of their cars?"
"Yes honey, they do."

4. "Mom, how do we get this off?"
"Well honey, that is a scratch on your skin. Your body will heal itself and the scratch will eventually go away."
"Where does it go mom?"
"Good question. The good cells in your body make it better and take the bad cells away and then your scab will just start to fall off in little bits."
"Does it go up my leg and in my tummy and out of my mouth like this, BLAHHHHHH!?!"
"Not exactly sweetheart." :)
