One very special Saturday!

What a fun day we had! A parade, the doughnut shop, a visit to the fire station, a friend's birthday party and our Church's fall festival! Mommy even snuck in a massage (thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the gift certificate!)! Here are the highlights!
love,
Jaimee

Waiting for the parade to start!

Waving to the fire trucks!

And the best EVER... we were finally able to say YES to his relentless pleas, "I drive that fire truck mom!?!"

He also made a new best friend in Sparky the fire dog! We had to give him about $100 worth of high fives, so cool in toddler world!

He kept asking the fireman, "Keys please? Close the door!" No kidding!

He loved the hose truck demo, especially since it was windy and we kept getting sprayed with water. A lot of other friends screamed and hid, but he kept asking "AGAIN!?!" He's that crazy kid that will put his face directly over a sprinkler though :)

And the hat, wow! He has been wearing it night and day. We have to incorporate it into his wardrobe as it is a staple now. He keeps saying with great pride, "Look at me mom! I'm a fireman! I get hose and spray house!"

I think he prefers this family portrait over the fancy one we just had a professional photographer take!

And wow, they really let him spray the hose... he was in heaven!

Another family photo at the fall festival!

Daddy watches Ben string treats on a licorice bracelet.

Ben and Mommy paint a pumpkin, a definite contender for our Thanksgiving dinner centerpiece.

What a fun game... doughnut on a string!

And the lollipop house! (He had fun even though he doesn't really eat candy or doughnuts that have any sugar on them :) If he tried a bite he would just end up spitting it out and handing it to me saying, "I don't like it mom" to which I beamed happily, for now!

And finally, what a good Daddy! I'm not blind to the fact that it was probably pretty fun for him too! But, he was willing to stop the big kid traffic and climb up there with Ben a few times in front of everyone! Ben loves these things and will go alone... but we like to offer a little blocking protection for the big kids that don't heed my mommy glares to give my baby some space!
