"Listen fluffy! I've tried to be patient, and I've tried to be nice... but do you see this precious little red head following you around with such a sweet smile and eager outstretched hand? Well that's my son, and if you knew what was good for you... you would stop and GIVE HIM SOME ATTENTION instead of just talking to those pushy big kids that keep butting in front of him!"

He was wonderfully patient, and only looked at me for some encouragement after almost a 5 minute "chase" to try to get the bunny to notice him.
I told him, "It's OK sweetheart, all the other kids are really excited to meet him too. He just hasn't seen you yet. You're doing a good job being patient. Let's try again now that he's not so busy."
When what I really wanted to say was, "It's OK precious, mommy will go get the bunny and explain that she has a great rabbit stew recipe if he doesn't get his cotton tail a hopping over there to see you RIGHT NOW!"

And of course, the bunny was more then willing to give you high fives and pose for a picture once he caught notice of you. In fact, I think your Bob The Builder get up (chosen by you of course, as your outfit for the day) made the picture one of his favorites as he asked me for a copy. Yes, mommy speaks bunny! :)

We had a great time at Daddy's squadron's Easter Party. You found a lot of eggs, full of candy - much to your chagrin :)! You try so hard to be cool and like candy like your friends. You keep asking me to help you try pieces saying, "I'll like this one mom!" And I keep telling you that it's OK, it's not that good anyway... and you're better off then you realize. I'm excited to have you do eggs at home that we can fill with stuff about the real Easter Story and fun toys like mini dinosaurs and bubbles and such!
love,
Did I mention that I was the chosen one to bop the bunny (for lack of more graphic terms) in survival training :) So 'ol whiskers really should show some respect!
