The good:
-Riding on a C-17 from our base right to Peterson, less then an hour flight AND Ben and I got to sit in the cockpit on the way home!
-Staying with my sister and her family in their beautiful house where Ben was completely spoiled by his Aunt, Uncle, Grandparents and Cousins!
-Reconnecting with tons of friends that I haven't seen in 2,5 and even 10 years!
-Showing off my handsome husband and precious little guy!
-Sharing the reunion with my father in law (his 35th) and getting to see the in laws too!
-A yummy dinner at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame!
-An exciting football game, even though we lost!
-Cooler weather and those great Colorado views!
-Walking through the cadet area as a grad this time!
The bad:
-Missing a few of the activities where lots more people reconnected because we didn't get our schedules soon enough.
-Being 29 weeks pregnant and trying to walk up hills and stairs at altitude.
-Not having a great fall pregnancy wardrobe yet.
-Being asked if I was going to deliver tomorrow!
-The close friends who were not able to attend this time.
-Not getting enough pictures with all the great friends I did see!
The ugly:
-A nice big bump on my eye I'm getting checked out at the optomologist this week, it's the first time I've ever had it and of course it came in time for my reunion!
I'm already excited for Marc's next year.
Here are the pictures!!!
Our family buckled on the way there on the 1 hour C-17 hop right from Altus to the Springs, awesome!
Ben peeking out from the C-17 cockpit observation window!
Marc and I on the terrazzo in civvies!
My freshman/sophomore year squadron.
Renee Puels (BFF from USAFA!) and I in front of the Chapel
And by the class crest. (I really look more pregnant then I am here because I only had baggy fall clothes :) which was remedied by a little big town shopping, but not until after the reunion.)
Cheering with Daddy at the football game, GO AIR FORCE!
Doing a little victory dance with Grandpa after AF scored! They lost to Utah in the end, but only by one touchdown. It was a great game! Oh and good news, not only does spirit cheese still exist, but they've even added spirit tortillas!
Daddy and Ben checking out the awesome aerial view of the game while Mommy tries to catch her breath on the way up to meet friends in the upper upper section! We were lucky to land great seats down below with Aunt Jackie and the other AOCs!
Ben befriended a cute cheerleader (from Aunt Jackie's squadron)...
who took him out on the field with a bunch of kids from a cheering clinic, including his cousin Jenna, and...
he got to be right in the middle of all the action during the half time show! All he really did was hug the cute cheerleader, clap a little and watch the football players up close - pretty cool!
Ben tries out the sail plane on display inside the stadium!
My only picture of some of the wonderful friends we saw... oops! Here are Daddy and Ben roasting marshmallows with Marc's junior/senior roommate Scott Bowshot and his cute son Blake after a delicious dinner at their house. I love how quickly little boys can become the best of friends, they fought bad guys for hours together while we relaxed and caught up!
