Benjamin Starts Karate!

Benjamin started karate this summer and is having a great time. What a perfect activity for a little boy. He has made some really good friends AND can hardly believe that he gets to punch, kick and jump to his heart's content. And to top it all of, there's a uniform!

I enjoy watching him on a TV screen as parents stay outside to limit distractions. And I especially enjoy the demonstrations and lessons he gives me afterwards.

I am thankful that he gets a little self defense training, especially when he was still getting acclimated to the slightly rougher German kindergarten atmosphere :)

And his teachers are great. They instill lots of discipline, encourage self-control and make it fun.

And on top of all of that, I made my first good mommy friends there... who are not only turning out to be good friends, but are also great sources of information on where to shop/eat/travel/etc.
