Strasbourg Christmas Market with my boys to kick off the season!

The boys and I headed to the Strasbourg Christmas Market for a little CM warm up! We are blessed to have a lot of family visiting, so we thought it would be nice to scope one out... and have some fun in the process. We had been waiting and waiting for a good time to go with daddy, but his flying schedule has kept him so busy we finally just had to venture out ourselves. He'll be able to join us at some later in the month... in fact, we're going to check out Koln tomorrow and hopefully meet up with Uncle Brad!
So back to Benjamin, Liam and I at the Strasbourg Christmas Market. It was wonderful, and we only barely touched on what it has to offer... it is quite spread out and we just focused on the ice skating rink and it's surrounding food and gift booths. The decorations were fantastic, there was constant Christmas music coming from everything from the Church to speakers to street musicians, including a Santa band!

What a enormous tree, and so beautiful!
A pretty little lighted village at the base.
No real snow yet, but this fake snowy forest helped set the mood!
A really good Santa band.
They had a beautiful courtyard right next to the Cathedral that had both an adult and a children's ice skating rink. They had helmets and double blade skates and things the children could hold onto while they learned how to skate. Benjamin loved it, and did a great job! Liam is anxious to get out there next year!

A real polar bear mom!
So many yummy things to eat, but the favorite was a doughnut shaped like a pretzel!
We can't wait to take our family back there.
