Christmas Eve 2008

After attending Church, we come home participate in a few traditions of our own. We listen to Christmas music. We set baby Jesus in our manger while we reread the story of his birth. We don our favorite Christmas pajamas (this year the superhero theme was the most popular although he really likes the matching snowman pjs that he and Liam received as a gift from the Umphress family!) and cuddle up in front of the Christmas tree for some treats of our own.

And we have a few fun Santa moments too...
Looking for Santa's sleigh and his reindeer outside.

Mommy helps him identify suspect twinkling stars or satellites that might be the big guy...

We think we found him!
Writing the boys' letters to Santa and leaving out treats.
Ben informed us that the reindeer would prefer tomatoes over carrots (since that's what he would want :)).

Daddy did a great job of writing the letters back from Santa and consuming the treats after the children were nestled all snug in their beds while visions of sugarplums danced in their heads!

Yea! We (Caden and I) just got all caught up on the other Summers blog! Caden loved the movie of Liam and said "Aunt Jaimee said there were going to be lots more movies!" So he is ready for more! What fun little boys and great memories! Loved the pic of the guys as sheperds when they were young!

We loved your photos that you sent with your Christmas card! And we were excited to hear that you got an assignment to Germany - that will be so great! Enjoy your weekend together :) Happy New Year!
