Marc Pins On The Rank Of MAJOR!

Our family before the ceremony. Grandma was on Liam sling duty.
Marc's parents, Bob and Kathy (aka Pop Pop and Omi) were there to celebrate him and his father re administered the oath of office to him.

After a wonderful recount of Marc's past history in the Air Force and lots of nice words about his accomplishments by Col Tobin, the Ops Group Commander, the order was published and Marc became a Major! Then his dad, Brig Gen Retired Summers, re administered the oath of office to the Air Force's newest Major!

Omi, Jaimee and Benjamin took off Marc's old rank and put on the new gold leaves signifying his new rank. The leaves that we used were extra special because they belonged to Marc's grandfather Francis Summers, also referred to as Pop Pop.

Then it was time to party with lots of sweet treats from June's bakery!

It was just too much excitement for Liam!

But Benjamin managed to whoop it up on his own just fine! I'm sure his little brother will be joining him soon enough!
