Love, Hugs... and NO YOU NOT! The joys of this age with Ben

What a crazy emotion overload stage our little dude has entered! One minute he's making all the other moms tear up because he's so darn precious and affectionate... stopping whatever he's doing out of the blue to run over and embrace me in the most passionate hug, planting a HUGE kiss on my lips and saying, with totally adoring expressions, "I love you mom!" Adding "please", "thank you", "your welcome" and "that's so nice" onto everything he says!

But... the next minute he's exclaiming "NO YOU NOT DO THAT TO ME!" or "STOP DOING THAT RIGHT NOW!" With attitude! In fact, he's pretty good at using the NO...NOT phrase in lots of creative ways. Here are some of my favorites!

"Good morning Sweetheart!"..."no it not good morning, it not morning at all!"

"It looks like we need to go change your diaper."..."no you not take my poopie, you not clean my heinie!"

"I love you pumpkin."..."no i not a pumpkin, you a pumpkin, you a giraffe, you goofy hehehehe!"

or all on his own out of the blue... "no I not watch little Einsteins, i watch mickey mouse with you on couch!"

And here are a few other new favorite pharses:
"remember mom?"
"maybe it's...."
"you gonna get me, IIIIIIIII better run!"

Favorite current games are of course still hiding and chase with the addition of stop and go dancing to music we play on the piano.

Lastly, he has a quite a fascination with who and where Daddy's and My mommies and daddies are. He still thinks everyone somehow makes up a family unit of a mommy, daddy and little boy or girl! Anytime he sees anyone or anything upset or sad or maybe just alone, he wants to know where their mommy is?

Just when I get sad about him growing up, he enters a new phase that is so much fun!
Although, I still don't think I'm at peace with his big boy hair cut! It makes him look way to old and tamed those precious wild red waves :)
