Liam is a mover and a shaker! He's been mobile for quite some time now, but recently he's taken off big time. He's ready to be a part of all the action now... no more sitting on the sidelines for him.
Everything he sees clearly serves a purpose... it must be explored, disassembled, climbed and/or ridden. What fantastic adventures he is taking us on!
I have a basket at the bottom of the stairs for things that I need to take up and put away on another level (3 floors here, so you have to have a system to help minimize trips up and down). Liam has taken it upon himself to quality check the items in the basket on a regular basis, therefore essentially negating the original purpose of the basket and forcing me back into multiple trips up and back down again :) However, when the contents are harmless, it definitely provides some entertainment for him and a little break for me! And you can imagine his enthusiasm as the contents are always changing.
The baby gate may have slowed him down a little... but he'll still get what fun he can out of that first step!
Quiet is not always good :)
He'll even scoot things around to get to things, or get to a place where he can see into things. Just another reason to keep up that constant supervision :)
You know we've done this a few hundred times :) He can do it mostly by himself now, with a finger for support on the way back down. Their room is extra fun because it's so large. It nicely accommodates some larger toys.
This is a favorite activity, practiced many times a day...
and always followed by a new trick, standing up inside the wagon and shaking his whole body back and forth to make it move across the floor. Across the hard, hard marble floor... yikes!
He can work up some real speed on the long straight stretch from kitchen, through dining room, play area and on into the living room!
Lately, he's into even more stunts. The sit and scoot is fun and all, but there are so many other possibilities :) He was pretty close to getting a bike helmet placed on his cute little noggin here.
And he especially enjoys being a part of the action outside now too. He loves to ride along with Benjamin when we play with bikes and such.
And finally, he's been working on his circus act... just in case :)
You never know when he might have to use this as ammunition, like if his sippy cup isn't refilled fast enough, he's buckled in his car seat too much in one day or we keep denying him access to those fabulous stairs that cry out to be climbed!
Such a big boy now! What a wonderful adventure we're on!
