Liam's 13 months - December '-09

Liam's December 09:
-started letting go after pulling himself up to see if he could stand by himself (on purpose) Dec 30th and ever since. He clapped and clapped for himself, so very proud of his accomplishment!
-and starting to walk with his new radio flyer walker toy he got for Christmas
-screams when he wants something or sees Ben with something he doesn't have
-thinks he's so funny, giving raspberries and such
-bites when he's really happy and excited (hasn't quite figured out that biting isn't nice... although since he's happy, it isn't hard and doesn't really hurt yet)
-hits when he's angry, mostly when he thinks mommy is being unfair!
-I get more kisses, hugs and pats from this little guy then ever right now... but we're also dabbling in a little anger management :) It's so hard to share mommy sometimes.
-so many words, favorites are "mama", or rather "MAMA", and "up" :)
-seriously, he yells "mama" for everything... whether happy, sad, excited, mad or just bored!
-talks to himself now, a lot, while playing
-seems huge to me all the sudden
-12 month check up, healthy (lots of colds in a row with a bad cough though :( )
-has been stuck on 7 teeth for a while now, 4 on top and a cute 3 on the bottom
-up to 46th percentile in weight (from 5-10% at birth through 6 months), someone discovered the joy of food!
-both sets of grandparents here for Christmas, one he actually was awake for and excited about!

Have to do the quick version to get caught up on posts... but here's my favorite part - the pics!

A sweet photo with his Omi.
One of those oh so affectionate kisses I love!
Loves loves loves to play, and play hard! Turning into a little daredevil actually. Definitely keeping us on our toes a little more now.
With his Pop Pop.
Dancing with Mommy to some good ol German accordion music.
He discovered whipped cream this month and has a little addiction now! I didn't even realize I was "sharing" this dessert with him at first. He just got a spoon off the table and started to dig in while I was visiting with a friend :)
Loves to clap along to music... here he is jamming with his Grandpa.
Just a good shot of his features... big brown eyes, crazy dirty blond wispy hair, little button nose, precious elfish ears and DELICIOUS little chin!
Loves to play with his big brother and do everything he does... here they are in their hideout!
The eyes half way closed and tongue sticking out crazy baby expression, hopefully not a precursor to his college days!
Doing all the cool little boy things like building snow forts already!
Not really sure exactly why we built it though, or what we're going to do now...? I think his brother and Daddy had an unfair advantage in the snowball fight because I wasn't going to risk hitting my baby!
Nothing is scary with your big brother by your side... or at least right behind you!
Just a great Liam - Mommy picture!
Introducing him to snow for the first time.
Snuggles with his Grandpa, such a great place to nap!
Determined to break this horse, er I mean zebra :)
Off and on and off and on and off and on again, all cool new discoveries, and or accomplishments, must be repeated numerous times.
He loves it that he can really make things move now on his own.
Every time I turned my attention elsewhere he would yell out for me... he was really into me taking his picture, and of course giving him praise. He's a total praise junkie.
Discovered cookie dough!
Helped with his first batch of cookies, when we could get him to stop eating it that is.
Not crazy about hats, but if there's cookie dough involved he'll endure.
He's really got the "copy whatever they're doing" thing down and loves to be a big help!
Totally basked in the wonderful attention of his doting Grandma who will gladly endure helping him mix cookie dough for almost another hour!
Such a happy traveler, once you get him buckled in though. Man, he can arch his back with the best of them! 2 seconds later though he's back to being the happiest little traveler. I hope he maintains the ability to get over things quickly, I sure could use some pointers in that :)
He's a great great great eater. Will have what we're having, thank you very much! Loves spaghetti, just like his big brother.
And loves to share :)
This is pretty much what I see all day long... but I love it of course! How could I say no.
It was bound to happen sooner or later :)
Still loves his feet... me too! They're like adorable maple bar doughnuts!!!
And still loves balls of all type.
So excited to be out of the buggy and participating in all the activities now. Even if it does almost send mommy into therapy obsessing about all the gross things that could be lurking around in a public ball pit. Oh, get over it mommy... here's a ball for you!
There's our smoopers in December 09... will be switching to mostly moment by moment posts instead of every month for this little guy... just like the rest of the family. Except when I just have a lot to share all at once that covers a specific clump of time.
Love love love our little Liam!!!

He is so, so stinking cute! Love his little personality. I wish him and Jack could get together (we'd like to get over there sometime!), it would be so fun! I'm jealous you have such a good eater..Jack is the opposite so it's quite challenging some days! Hope you all are doing well!
