Happy Valentines Day 2008

"Benjamin... sweetheart!?! Come here please so Mommy can get a picture of you on Valentines Day for our blog." He's almost always agreeable when I want to photograph him. Sometimes too agreeable as he didn't even want to wait until I got the camera out of the closet and he flashed just about THE biggest smile he could... precious little nose scrunch and all!

"Thank you love, that was a good one. But I think we'll try again with a better back drop then mommy and daddy's bath towels :).

"My turn mommy, pllllllleeeeeaaaaase!?!"

"Ok sweetheart. Why don't you take some pictures of the things you love in honor of Valentines Day."

Good choice, in choosing to photograph mommy first, especially after that "things you love" statement :) Since that was such a sweet gesture I'll even include it despite the fact that we're still in the bathroom closet and mommy hasn't gotten all gussied up for the day after her morning workout.

Another good choice in photographing Cooper, but let's try to get a better shot then his bum!

All of these decisions on what to photograph were without my prompting... which explains why he chose to take a picture of Playhouse Disney on TV next!
And that ended our photo session for the morning. The day got away from us and I forgot to try to take Ben's Valentines Day photo until right before bedtime. That's when we attempted these :)
OK, not exactly the pose I was hoping for... he just thought this was all way too funny. Notice Buzz Lightyear in one hand and blue playdough in the other, both requested to go to bed with him.

OK, a little better I guess, but you can totally see daddy's hand and the camera focused on the rose heart wreath instead of Ben's face. Fancy photographers, we are not :)
The best yet... and of course as the mommy I think it's fantastic! But I realize that we could still work on our backdrop scenery for next year!
How about one more sweet one of you giving mommy a kiss? HEY! What's with the look... you'd better pucker up little man!

We had a great day... and that evening daddy took me to dinner at Quartz Mountain while you spent a couple hours with your favorite babysitter Miss Carleen. You had fun pretending to be on a date with her! You are such a love!!! We can't believe how much joy and affection you bring into our lives! I am so thankful for my sweet boy and loving hubby, I am very blessed indeed!
