Two Big New Feats at Gymnastics

"Ta Daaaa!"

We've been going to Mommy and Me Gymnastics class for about a year now. We both really enjoy it! You are so good at trying everything and love the games involved. You've always been pretty cautious, but are still a very willing student. Today you did two things for the first time "all by myself", as you say it! First you walked across the balance beam without holding onto my hand or finger :) And secondly, you scaled up and down the rockwall... again and again... without my assistance. You're also getting really good at hanging. You enjoy taking the class with your friends and mommy together, what a treat! You really like your teacher, Miss Amy. She leads us through 15 minutes of warmups and stretching, 15 minutes of equipment, and 15 minutes of tumbling and games. Afterwards she gives you a piece of candy and puts cool stamps on your feet, definately a highlight of class. And we can't forget the chance to drink from a real water fountain when class is through. What fun Thursday mornings we have!
love,
Not Quite as Limber as I Used To Be :)

Ben's "other mother" Jill cheering him on!

Concentrating on my balance MOM! Don't distract me!
Up the rock wall...
Reaching the top...
I've just got to swing this one leg over and I'll be home free...
Whoo Hooo! Sliding down the other side. This one is a little blury, but I really wanted to catch your expression :)
Sliding down the mat after climbing the vault.

Leave it to Sydney to want to scale the rock wall backwards!
Stamps and smarties, Miss Amy spoils you!

I'm sorry, but Ben looks like he's about 5 now. How is it possible that he looks like such a big boy all of the sudden? I love that pic of him swinging his leg over the top of the rock wall. So precious.

Will Ben be ready for the Bejing Olympics. He'll need an outfit. Don't worry, Grandma's looking for one as you read this!
