Kindergym Level 1 - Big Boy Gymnastics!

Benjamin moved up to the big boy gymnastics class and loves it. There are 4 little boys in the class and it's led by a very creative and energetic teacher. I'm proud of him and excited to watch him learn all sorts of new skills. And it's also great just to have an hour to tumble off that crazy energy. The only problem is, now that he's such a big boy... I'm supposed to wait on the other side of the fence and watch! WHAT!?! At least he's stopped to ask me a few times during class if I want to come in and join him - that's a good boy! He always seems to have a great mix of curiosity and a desire to try something new, while still checking in with mom from time to time. I think he knows I need it almost more then him now :)

Check out how far away they are across the room (I know, I'm being a little dramatic :)).

Racing...

Walking the balance beam... he even tried hopping for the first time.

Doing the monkey walk across the bars sideways.

Climbing the "mountain" to slide down the other side!

Pull ups, leg lifts and he even tried a flip (with help).

I'm sure this will be a great Wednesday morning activity to add to our fun filled "school" year!

Dear Benjamin,

You are such a joy to watch in everything you do! You are so animated in class and just love to discuss the merits and details of many of the activities with your teacher (you love to discuss anything really :)). You really enjoy jumping into the role of being "one of the guys" and make fast friends with anyone willing. You'll try anything, and pick up on the new skills really quickly. I love watching your little mind and precious little legs work! Thanks for being such a dear and checking in with mommy from time to time as you make yet another leap towards independence... it helps me not to be so weepy :) I love you tons, big boy!!!

love,

Your Biggest Fan
