1st Dentist Visit

Ben had a great time visiting the dentist for the first time. He loved the fishtank in the waiting room, just like the one in the Finding Nemo movie... all the same fish and everything! He kept asking where the dentist was, and if he was ready for us yet. He eagerly followed Micah, our dental hygenist, back to the exam room and hopped right up in the chair. He enjoyed "riding" on it and exploring all the tools. Micah was very sweet with him and let him see, touch and try every tool. He let her count his teeth and check them for cavities and even would have let her brush them if it wasn't for the sweet flavoring she put on the toothbrush before I could stop her (she thought he would like it as I'm sure most other kids do, but my little guy just doesn't like lots of sweet things). The dentist was just as wonderful and introduced himself to Ben first, shaking his hand and telling him everything he wanted to do before he did it.
We were so happy with the treatment and the fact that his teeth look great! (I had secretly been worrying about a fall that knocked his front teeth when he first started walking). Ben had a great time and was excited to leave with a Mater toothbrush (from the Cars movie) and lots of stickers.
He's already asking to go back and wants to pretend he's a dentist often now. Good thing Aunt Jackie gave us a cool playdough dentist kit.
