It's the process that matters, not the actual product... right? :)

Ben and I have really been enjoying our hands on home school preschool curriculum. Today was a big project day. We're learning about telling the truth and the story of Ananias and Sephira and we were supposed to make a piggy bank that we later used to count coins that we drop in. Anyway, I had most of the supplies at home and was able to improvise the rest... but I've got to tell you, I don't think this is exactly the end result the creator of the curriculum was aiming for :) Our pig is quite disheveled and a little sloppy... but we had a great time and Ben loves her!

We're also covering the letter "I" this week... hence the new page we did in our ABC book. And a funny story about that... Ben is really enjoying learning to cut, but he didn't want to cut out the ice cube. I asked him why and he said, "because I don't want to get all wet and messy right now, it will melt on me"! Such a sweetheart! Who would want to miss out on such precious times as this. It's days like this (well, it's pretty much every day to be honest with you) that I am so thankful I've chosen to stay home with him while he is little.

love,

the teacher

between you & Kristin, you might just convince me to start doing this type of stuff at home too. We do stuff, just not this organized. LOVE IT!

The "Pig project" will be a treasure like Marc's "Bear". Given to a loved one in the future.
